13 Mexican and Tex-Mex places in Wake Forest, from White Street downtown to Capital Boulevard, Gateway Commons, South Main Street and NC 98.

Last checked Oct. 12, 2026. Refreshed every three months.

Wake Forest’s Mexican and Tex-Mex places run the length of town. Capital Boulevard has the most, from Tlaquepaque in the south to the second Mamacita in the north, with two more in Gateway Commons off U.S. 1. Downtown, Las Mas and Lil’ Hombre are on White Street, and Gonza and a Taco Bell are on South Main Street.

How we made this list. The places come from OpenStreetMap records inside Wake Forest’s town limits, the same data behind our local directory, checked against each place’s own website on Oct. 12, 2026. We added Don Julio, both Mamacita restaurants, Las Mas, Torchy’s Tacos and the South Main Street Taco Bell, each confirmed at a Wake Forest address by its own site or by a 2026 record in Wake County’s restaurant inspection data. The list is alphabetical. It is not a ranking or a recommendation, and nobody paid to be on it. Run one of these places? Write to us to correct your entry.
