Wake Forest Easter Eggstravaganza
What the town’s 2026 event page described, so you know what to expect:
- Bunny Trail, not a timed hunt. Children could “poach” eggs any time between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. Bring your own basket.
- Prize eggs. Open your eggs before leaving; prizes were picked up at the town tent in the Joyner Park Amphitheater.
- Egg-ceptional Zone for children with disabilities and their families, 9:30 to 10 a.m., in the Performance Garden beside the historic barns. A buddy can help.
- Easter Bunny in the field near the historic barns, plus a roaming “Rose Fairy.”
- Activities: a DJ, a giant soap bubble artist, hula hoopers, an Easter craft, sponsor booths and food trucks. Face painting was new in 2026 and cost $5 to $10.
- Parking: heavy traffic, routed through one entrance and one exit with staff directing. Neighbors walking in could scan a QR code at their park entrance for the event map.
Rolesville Egg Rush
Rolesville, about four miles southeast, held its free Egg Rush at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 28, 2026, on the football field at Rolesville Middle School, 4700 Burlington Mills Road, according to the Town of Rolesville.

- Three age groups: 0 to 3, 4 to 6 and 7 to 10, with golden prize eggs in each.
- No registration. The 2026 rain date was Monday, March 30, at 6:30 p.m.
Church egg hunts
Wake Forest churches often hold community egg hunts in the weeks before Easter. None had posted a 2027 date when we checked. We list each one here, with its date, ages and address, once the church publishes it on its own website. Church office? Send us the link.
Easter services
Holy Week and Easter service times change from the usual schedule, and most churches post them in March. Saint Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 520 W. Holding Ave., lists regular Sunday Masses at 8 and 10:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. in English and 1 p.m. in Spanish in the Diocese of Raleigh directory; check the parish for Easter times. For any other church, use its own website.
Easter brunch
No Wake Forest restaurant had announced a 2027 Easter brunch when we checked. We add them only from the restaurant’s own page. Weekend brunch spots are on our brunch guide.
